Where are your essential oils sourced from?
Where are your products made?
All of our products are hand made in small batches on the Mid-North Coast of the New South Wales, Australia. The ingredients are purchased from Australian suppliers.
Do you test on animals?
No! All of our products are tested on ourselves and a few willing volunteers.
DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?
We do not currently offer gift vouchers, but check back soon as this is something we will be adding in the future!
what is the expected shelf life?
Products containing preservatives (body butters, body lotion, hand creams) have an expected shelf life of approx. 2 years. Products should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from temperature fluctuations and UV light. Ensure the lid is kept on to prevent oxidation. Use with dry hands to prevent water and moisture affecting the product.
Products without preservatives (i.e. lip balms, salves, nails oils) don’t have a shelf life as they don’t contain perishable ingredients. The density of lip balms and salves may fluctuate with temperature, if this occurs simply place in the fridge until it’s re-formed.
What if i want to buy a quantity you don't have in stock?
As products are made in small batches, we usually try to run out of something before manufacturing more. Should you need more than what is available, please email email@example.com prior to placing the order. We endeavour to keep everything we need on hand (containers, labels etc.) and will work with you on a timeframe for order completion, depending on the quantity ordered. Please note, whilst every effort is made to ensure our online stock levels are accurate, there may be times where product is sold at a market and there is a delay in updating the quantity on the web site.
Can i return my amber jar for a discount?
Yes! For customers surrounding the 2450 postcode we encourage you to return your empty amber jar when purchasing a new one and receive a $1.50 discount. This is always in conjunction to any other discounts that may be on offer at the time. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange the exchange. And because you’re local, head over to our Shipping section to get the ‘no postage’ code.
For customers not within the 2450 postcode we encourage you to reuse your amber jars as you see fit or donate to a local charity.

CAN I RETURN PRODUCTS?
Due to the nature of our products and to maintain the highest standard of hygiene, products are unable to be returned for change of mind, if you found the same or similar product elsewhere for a cheaper price, decide you do not like the product or have no use for it or misuse a product in anyway that causes a problem. Products cannot be returned if purchased as a gift and the recipient does not want it or the gift is not given. Refunds will not be given due to small variations in scents or colours due to products being made in different batches. Please choose your product carefully as refunds are not given for selecting the wrong size or type. For more information about Consumer Guarantee’s please check here.
If a product is found to be faulty a refund will be offered. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with photo’s of the fault within 48 hours of receiving the item. You may be required to send the item back to Essential Cosmetics Co. prior to a refund being determined. If required, please post to PO BOX 956, Coffs Harbour, NSW, 2450. Refunds are at the discretion of Essential Cosmetics Co.
