Essential Oil Info

Below are links to information about the essential oils used by Essential Cosmetics Co. Please note, the information is not a comprehensive study on the perceived benefits of each oil. Instead, we’ve decided to keep things brief and focus on their usages for skin care.

While some oils have a well known reputation as being safe (i.e. coconut oil), others should be used with caution. For example, it’s strongly suggested that rosemary essential oil should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Some essential oils contain hormone disruptors and therefore may cause harm in developing children. We recommend consulting your GP prior to the use of any product containing essential oils. We do not recommend products containing essential oils be used on children under the age of 2 and that medical advice is sought for use on children aged between 2-12. Always consult your GP prior to using essential oils if pregnant or breastfeeding. If any product causes irritation, discontinue use and consult GP if irritation persists. Some essential oils may interfere with other medication, please consider your individual circumstances.
